I have had the privilege, not necessarily the pleasure, of editing the first manuscript of this book. And a PRIVILEGE it certainly was. What qualities, I wonder, does one need to have, to be right in the middle of a husband and wife writing a book about the enlightenment quality of relationship struggles, rather than excusing oneself rapidly to go on an extended solitary retreat in the Himalayas? Well, being a friend and a few hundred miles away certainly helps. But, most importantly, knowing the authors and their struggles, and admiring their courage to put their knowledge and very personal experience into passionate words, was what touched me throughout wading through the chapters. So, now it has become a book. And an amazing book it is indeed. It is personal - the authors really are living what they're preaching. It is full of deep psychology, applied to the most relevant area of being - RELATIONSHIP. And it contains psychological maps and models that the readers can easily apply and gain a new, often scary, but ultimately liberating way of relating to themselves and their partners.
