I bought this with the hope of explaining sex to my autistic son. I have bought the Tom books by this author… these do not follow those. My son is moderately affected by autism. This book is definitely geared toward people with Asperger’s. There is quite a bit of text (unlike the author’s other books). It also has a tons of detail and information- which is great but a little overwhelming. I took a chance. This is too advanced both in text and in detail of sex, for my son. The images are very explicit, but very helpful for the right audience. The author did an excellent job of including all appropriate sexual scenarios, as well as consent and safe sex. The partners in same and opposite sex relationships were depicted in a matter of fact manner and would be appreciated by a wide audience. It is very well written, and thoughtful- just WAAAYYY too advanced for my child. If you read the author’s TOM books, you need to carefully consider the appropriateness of this book- it is much more detailed and in depth. Overall well done and useful, especially for young Aspie adults, or any young adult who needs details on sex and different types of sex.
