I stumbled upon this book and immediately went to Amazon to read the reviews. I read everyone one of them, yes even the negative reviews. I have been working out on my own for decades and I found I was falling into that age mind set of "I'm older and can not stop all that comes with aging". Over all the years I have been training/working out I did a ton of reading. Yes, this book has a lot of information I already knew. BUT, the good doctor explains every thing so clearly and brings it all together. Those things I read and thought I knew and understood were still lacking some vital information. This book has changed the way I go about my workouts and how I eat and take care of myself. Within three months I dropped down four holes on my belt. And can see muscles in my abs that I have not seen since my twentys (I am 55 now). Do I do every things that Dr. Life does -No! But he sure does have some easy to follow rules that are working for me. I no longer shy away from wearing a tight shirt or going shirtless - it feels great to have that back. This is being done through proper diet, basic to extreme workouts and yes those protein shakes. I have recommended this book to many of my friends including the female friends that care about their husbands. I will be re-reading this book again -soon.Rick B
