I must admit, I contemplated whether or not to read this book as i thought it may be too hard hitting. However, I thought to myself, if someone has lived through this and has the courage to tell other people about the abuse that she suffered, I should have the respect to listen to her story. This book was absolutely heartbreaking, emotional but it is needed to hear truth. I can only praise Caitlin for having the strength to come through what she has, and having the strength to tell her story. I would absolutely recommend this book, as Caitlin, as well as other girls and women, have the right to tell their stories, have the right to be heard and fundamentally they need to be helped. This problem can't be swept under the carpet anymore! I have the upmost respect for Catlin in raising awareness to the hardship that she has had to endure, in the hopes of helping others that are suffering the same fait. We may not be able to change what has already happened, but everyone should take the time to read this book to find out how Caitlin was forced to live, so we can help to stop this happening now and support those who have been through it.There where countless times I wanted to scream for her, and ask how this could happen, why she didn't receive the help she deserved, why are there such cruel people in the world but the truth shouldn't be sugar coated. Fantastically written, gripping and heartbreaking.
