I haven't seen or figured out how to remove the plug from the tail, but hand washing is just as fine. Not everything needs to be thrown in your dishwasher. Lol It feels great and tightens the area for increase simulation for you and her. Tail is fluffy and I found myself playing with it while we were snuggling. Great buy!!So, this toy would be great for beginners it’s cute and easy to fit in. But there is no detachable tail so you have to clean before you can use it or else you risk getting feces on the tail. It’s very soft, it does slip out though. even more if you have natural lube lining inside your anus. I also think the tail could be a bit longer, for people with bigger butts it slightly hides some of the tail, that’s my only issues! though it’s amazing for the price! Then after that the plug split in half.So it's been a few days since I received this product and I will say I am IMPRESSED. I read a LOT of reviews on this item before purchasing so I was a bit iffy about getting it at first. The plug itself FILLS the palm of my hand just about so it's a big one or I have baby hands.PROS: If you're like me and have been looking for a tail everywhere else, you know these things could be VERY pricey ($60+) THIS is actually reasonable for a first tail so you can see if you even enjoy it and play around. The fur is very soft and smooth. The plug itself sits comfortably once you get used to it. I'm a beginner myself and have not done anything "back there" in months BUT I also wanted something larger than a starter plug. I put it in myself using a water based lube (which I would prefer because the others are really sticky and that could mess up the tail). Now...THE PROCESS. Putting it in takes some tolerance..it's going to hurt but once it's in...the hardest part is over. It wasn't too big for me personally either... really anything you put in there is going to feel "too big", I will say that I wouldn't go any bigger.CONS: So once it's in, depending on how big your butt is, the fur may rest between your cheeks which can be a little bothersome but isn't a big deal. I kinda of expected it since the illusion is that you have a real tail. I saw a lot of reviews talking about how it broke on the first use... personally, I can see how that might happen with what I just said because the tail is IN there. Also another way I could see it breaking is when taking the plug out, you may be tempted to pull on the tail itself...DO NOT DO THAT. Again, I love the price but it's that price for a reason. You HAVE to be careful and go straight for the base of the plug and pull (then wash your hands lol).I don't really have anything other complaints and I hope this review helped someone! Just so you can guage how long it might be on youBought this on a whim last week for my partner and I. Seller filled the order very quickly and my package arrived much sooner than expected. Package arrived in VERY discrete packing. The tail itself was wrapped around the metal plug which completely concealed the item, feeling the package from the outside you would have guessed it was a squishy softball. Then all of that was wrapped in a nontransparent heavy plastic bag. Opened the package, got the fur fluffed up, and was immediately impressed. The metal plug feels solid, totally smooth, no creases or seams from the molding process. The fur is beautiful and incredibly soft.My partner and I couldn't wait to us it First use, great first impression. We both loved it. Second use, not so much. A nice tug was enough to snap the tail in half like a thread. Okay, maybe that was too much. Sewed it up, good as new. Nope. Next use, tail broke off at the base of the plug. No repairing it this time. Not super impressed.Because I'm an idiot who doesn't read things through, I didn't know this was real fur. Yes, the product title does say "...Soft Wild Fox Tail..." and I'm sure I saw it, I just figured it was a name. Because the product was less than $13 I thought there was no way it was real fur, so I didn't even really pay attention. After the tail broke, I could tell right away the inner "core" of the tail is taxidermied animal hide. As a hunter I don't dislike the idea of real fur, but at the same time I don't particularly like fur farms (which I'm sure this fur probably came from). I fault myself for not reading into the product more before buying, I don't hold it against the seller. I only included this so others knew for certain whether the fur is real or faux.Pros:- Quick and discrete shipping.- Price. $12 isn't bad at all.- Fur is gorgeous, and very soft.- Good size insertable. Big enough it stays in, small enough it's easy to use.- Easy to clean. Little shampoo and warm water.Cons:- Tail is very fragile overall. Little tugging is enough to shred it.Pro/Con?Fur is real, I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not this is a selling point.I give 3 stars. Durability is really the only definite con I can think of. I mean really, it didn't take much to break mine (both times). It was inexpensive enough that I'm not upset about losing it, but I don't think I'll buy another considering there are plenty of other items like this available.TL;DR - Great for a gag gift or to surprise your partner, just don't expect it to last long.Idk if the 'shedding', for lack of better words, is normal, since this is my first tail ever, and will take a while before it doesn't anymore, but gently passimg it through my closed hand a few times has lightly coated my hand with the fur. It's a little unnerving that my pulling it out will leave these stray furs on me.The real issue, however, is when I pulled it out of the package, large tufts of the fur were already loose from, I assume, the trip to me.It still looks amazing and feels sexy. I can't wait to have it in for somebody. The ears are downright adorable.
